State police at Clearfield
- State police responded to an accident that occurred Monday on state Route 729 in Ferguson Township. Jerry L. Bennett Jr. of Clearfield was traveling north and negotiating a left-hand curve. His vehicle began to slide sideways, entered the oncoming lane and exited the roadway. As a result, his vehicle impacted a hill located off of the western side of the roadway with its front, passenger’s side corner. This caused his vehicle to spin around, overturn and land on its driver’s side. His vehicle had damage and dirt on its passenger’s side corner, damage along its driver’s side and there was an impact mark on the hill. There was also a scar on the roadway that indicated his vehicle’s impact point with the ground when it overturned onto its side. Bennett’s vehicle was towed from the scene, and state police were assisted by the Mahaffey Fire Company.
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft that occurred Monday on Walton Street in Chester Hill Borough. During the incident, a female suspect allegedly took a Dallas Cowboys BIC lighter from the Fuel On in Philipsburg. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of burglary that occurred sometime Saturday or Sunday on Liberty Street in Beccaria Township. During the incident, someone allegedly forced open the front door and damaged a television that belonged to the victim. They also allegedly removed an XBOX video game. The total value of the theft was $400, state police said. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
State police at DuBois
- State police responded to an accident that occurred Saturday on the Bennetts Valley Highway in Huston Township. Joshua M. Vallone of DuBois was traveling south and rounding a curve when he applied the gas and lost control of his vehicle. It traveled off the roadway onto the west berm before its undercarriage impacted an embankment. His vehicle then overturned and rotated in a clockwise motion before coming to a rest on its roof. State police were assisted at the scene by the Penfield Fire Department.
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of theft/access device fraud that occurred Saturday on Third Street in Falls Creek Borough. During the incident, a known DuBois man allegedly took a debit card from the victim without having permission and used it for multiple purchases. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred Dec. 6 on Beechton Road in Snyder Township. During the incident, a Brockway male allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with the victim. Charges were filed against the male through the district court, state police said.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft that occurred Monday at the Wal-Mart in Young Township. Charges are currently pending against a Punxsutawney woman for the incident, state police said.

- Police received a report about the alleged theft of Christmas laser lights in the Hyde area.
- Police received a report about an alleged reckless driver on Route 322.
- Police received a report about a dead deer near River Road. The deer was removed from the roadway, police said.
- Police received numerous reports about alleged IRS phone scams.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of Christmas laser lights in the Krebs Highway area.
- Police received a traffic complaint that occurred near the Hyde light.
- Police received a report about an alleged fight that occurred at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School.
- Police received a report about abandoned property at a local motel.
- Police received a found vehicle key for a Saturn. It is at the township police station.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person off of Guinea Hill Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute on Hill Street. All parties were separated by police.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft at Wal-Mart. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of Christmas lights in the Hyde area.
