Bush: Clinton will play victim over ‘schlonged’ comment

Jeb Bush criticized Donald Trump for saying Hillary Clinton “got schlonged” in 2008 — but the former Florida governor also argued that Clinton will play up the comment in a way that makes her look like a “victim.”

“She’s great at being the victim. You know this will enhance her ‘victimology’ status. This is what she loves doing,” Bush told reporters after a town hall event here.

Bush argued that such language — “schlonged” is a vulgar Yiddish word for penis — is one reason why Trump “is not going to be president,” adding that “there has to be a level of decorum to win.”

“He says these things that turn people off,” Bush continued. “For crying out loud, we’re two days before Christmas. Lighten up, man.”

Asked if the comments were inappropriate, Bush reiterated his attack line that Trump is a “chaos candidate.”

“Just imagine him as president in a press conference,” he said. “It’s not a sign of strength to insult people with profanities.”
