Vickie Ogden of Clearfield entered heaven Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015.
Born Feb. 8 in DuBois, she was the daughter of Blair and Gail (Pentz) Michael Sr. of Rockton.
On May 11, 1991, she married the love of her life, Richard W. Ogden, at Centre Grove United Methodist Church in Clearfield.
Mrs. Ogden graduated from the DuBois Area High School in 1984 and attended Penn State University.
She had been employed at St. Francis School for 16 years as a bookkeeper. She had also been employed at the Clearfield YMCA for 11 years, starting as a receptionist and ending as an administrative assistant.
She was a member of the Hyde Wesleyan Church of Clearfield. She was a missionary from home with Global Life Ministries.
She was the past treasurer of the Centre School PTO and the Clearfield Little League Ladies Auxiliary.
She supported the Clearfield Food Bank, St. Francis Tuition Reduction Program, Young People Who Care’s Christmas program and Relay for Life.
She was an avid supporter of her children’s activities. She loved spending time with Rick, her kids, family and friends. She loved the ocean, Emmitt Smith of the Dallas Cowboys, and Penn State athletics. Since 2014, she made Amish friendship bread and gave it to her friends and local businesses. She was a 20-year cancer survivor.
She is survived by her parents and husband, and children, Corey and Cammeron of Clearfield; a brother, Blair (Karen) Michael Jr. of Rockton; a sister, Wendy (Gary) Weber Sr. of Rockton; three nephews; and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, W. Henry and Pearl Michael as well as Herald and Ica Pentz, all of Rockton, and an unborn child in November of 1992.
Friends will be received from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at the Adamson Funeral Chapel Inc. in DuBois and from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Saturday at the Hyde Wesleyan Church in Clearfield.
A celebration of her life will follow the visitation at the church at 12 p.m. with Pastors Stevan Sheets and Bob Croft officiating. Burial will be in Rockton Cemetery.
