HeartCaring Session to be Presented through Clearfield County Lifelong Learning Institute

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging Inc., in collaboration with Lock Haven University Clearfield, is hosting HeartCaring.

HeartCaring is an evidence-based program that focuses on raising awareness to the risk and threat of cardiovascular disease.

The program discusses types of CV disease and associated risk factors, warning signs/atypical presentation and importance of calling 911.

Participants are strongly encouraged to begin a discussion with their medical provider to discuss personal risks. Lifestyle approaches to reduce risk and improve health are discussed.

The seminar will be held on Tuesday from 1 p.m. -2:30 p.m. at Lock Haven University Clearfield Campus – Academic Building Room 213. The seminar is offered at no charge but pre-registration is requested. Register by calling the CCAAA at 814-765-2696.

This course is part of the Clearfield County Lifelong Learning Institute. Lifelong Learning Institute courses are geared towards the interests of the baby boomers and older citizens.

Typical sessions will last approximately 90 minutes and will be taught primarily by Lock Haven University faculty and community individuals with specific expertise. All programs will be free, or very low cost.
