Pearl C. Harter, 85, of Morrisdale went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015 in Morrisdale at her son’s residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born July 23, 1930, she was the daughter of the late James Russel and Julie Casteaux Quick. She was a member of the Messiah Baptist Church, Kylertown.
She was a homemaker. She was a life member of the Grassflat Loyal Order of the Moose No. 941.
She was married to Donald Harter Jr. on Aug. 28, 1948 in Lock Haven. He preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 2011.
Mrs. Harter is survived by her son, Walter P. Timblin Sr. and his wife, Cathy of Morrisdale; her grandchildren, Walter P. Timblin Jr. and his wife, Wendy of Morrisdale, Gerry Ann Hockenburry and her husband, Chris of Allport and Corey Timblin and his wife, Careena of Philipsburg; her great-great-grandchild, Kevyn Hockenburry; and her three nieces.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Russell and Charles Eugene and a sister, Kathleen Nicholson. She was the last member of her generation.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Messiah Baptist Church, Kylertown, with the Rev. Dr. Earl R. Shawley, her pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery, Morrisdale.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the church.
Special vocal services will be provided by Pastor Bryan Vineyard.
