DUBOIS – The Downtown DuBois Revitalization Group (DDRG) recently held its annual volunteer recognition event at the Winkler Gallery & Art Education Center in DuBois.

According to event organizers, it was very successful with the help of the Greater DuBois Chamber and the Winkler Gallery, along with an array of generous food and beverage sponsors and donors.

The highlight of the evening was the naming of Nancy Anthony as “Volunteer of the Year.” Anthony is a perennial helper with the downtown group’s outdoor endeavors, especially with its various clean-ups, flower plantings and flower beds.

She is an active member of the Down to Earth Garden Club and the Punxsutawney Historical Society. She also helps with many other projects.

Anthony is employed by Paris Companies and resides in DuBois.
