Dorothy V. Smith, 94, of DuBois died Monday, Nov. 30, 2015 at Christ the King Manor.
Born April 16, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Melvin T. and Mary Viola (Dunlap) Player.
She worked for Brockway Glass for 35 years as a packer.
She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Keller of Reynoldsville, Jo Ann Jewell and her husband, Donald of Falls Creek and Judith Owens and her husband, Denny of DuBois.
She is survived by a brother, Robert Player and his wife, Shirley of DuBois and a sister, Nedra Fedeli of DuBois.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, Carol Bembenic, Brenda Sackandy, Judy Lake, Darla Johnston and Douglas Owens; eight great-grandchildren, Betsy Vitarelli, Cassaundra Lake, Kyleigh and Erik Sackandy, Amy and Gabriel Bembenic and Allison and Kyle Johnston; two great-great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Hunter Frantz; and many dear nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Geraldine Walker, Janet Rager and Imogene Tonon; a granddaughter, Holly Keller; and a great-grandson, Dante Vitarelli.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at the Lakeside United Methodist Church with Pastor Robert Zilhaver officiating.
