Stella V. Hanson, 82, of DuBois died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born March 17, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Veronica (Mikulski) Glowacki.
On May 2, 1953, she married Norman Hanson. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 2000.
Mrs. Hanson retired from Brockway Glass after 33 years of service. She then worked in the laundry department at Christ the King Manor for five years.
She was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved her family very much.
She is survived by her children, Michael Hanson and his wife, Mary Lou of Noblesville, Ind.; Edward Hanson of Brockway; and Susan Phillips and her husband, William of Falls Creek; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband and her siblings the Rev. Francis Glowacki, Helen Prontock, Blanche Regec, Josephine Skryzpek, Walter Glowacki and Edward Glowacki.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Kresinski as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
