Authorities investigating after killings at Texas campsite

Authorities are investigating and have a suspect in custody after six people were found dead at a campsite in Anderson County, Texas.

Police were called to the scene Sunday morning in response to a possible shooting and found two bodies in a trailer, according to Anderson County Sheriff Greg Taylor. Police arrested a suspect, William Hudson, 33, and charged him with one count of murder, setting bond at $2.5 million.

On Monday, four bodies, all male, were found at a pond behind Hudson’s house, which is near the campsite, Taylor said. Anderson County is in east Texas, between Dallas and Houston.

There is a surviving witness, the sheriff said. Some of the victims and the survivor are related to each other, according to Taylor. Police aren’t releasing their names or ages.
