CLEARFIELD – A record attendance crowd turned out for the 2015 Ales for Tails Craft Beer Tasting event Nov. 7 and watched as Leigh Woolridge was awarded the “Best of Show” in the Top Dog Homebrewer Competition.

A sold-out crowd sampled more than 50 craft beers that were made available by West Side Distributing.

“This is one of our major fundraising initiatives, so I am thrilled that it grew so much this year,” said Event Coordinator Carolyn Smeal.

“Incorporating the Homebrew Competition was definitely a draw, and we hope that it continues to grow next year.”

Blind judging was provided by Rohb Striker of Race Street Brew Works, Charlie Schrable of Otto’s Pub and Brewery and Darrell Smeal of Misty River Brewing Company.
