CLEARFIELD- Clearfield Borough has put the finishing touches on its 2015 Community Development Block Grant application.
At a special meeting Thursday, Clearfield County Community Development Specialist Lisa Kovalick reviewed the final synopsis of the borough’s CDBG application.
Kovalick said the borough will be receiving $99,194 for 2015. She said the borough plans to use $89,274 for street improvements, sidewalk and curbing along North Third Street from Market to Pine streets. The remaining $9,920 will be used for program administration.
Kovalick said the borough is also planning to take public comment on the modification of CDBG funding for 2013 and 2014. The borough is looking to take $9,928, which had been previously allocated for street improvements, and $10,000, which has been previously allocated for clearance demolition in 2013, and use that money for the North Third Street project.
Kovalick said the borough will take $81,531, which had been allocated for equipment and a roof on the fire station and $17,896, which had been allocated for administration costs for 2014, and also add that money to the North Third Street project.
She said the council will take final action on the 2015 applications and the modification to the 2013 and 2014 CDBG funding at the Nov. 19 meeting.
