Visit Clearfield County Lists Weekly Events

VCCCLEARFIELD – Staff members at Visit Clearfield County (VCC) have released the weekly events for Nov. 13-19.

Ritz Theater, downtown Clearfield

Monday-Sunday

The theater’s lobby opens at 6:30 p.m. You can grab some popcorn, even if you cannot attend the movie showings. For movies and show times, please call 814-765-5835. Prices are $6 for adults and $4 for children (12 years and under) and senior citizens (60 years and older).

Friday, Nov. 13

Camp Sandstone

Every time a person stays at Camp Sandstone in 2015, they receive a chance to win one free night stay in 2016. At the end of the year, the staff members will draw one name. Camp Sandstone is a rustic cabin rental with a private setting on five acres of wooded pines. It will comfortably sleep four guests and is pet friendly. The Inn at Narrows Creek

At Narrows Creek, it is time for holly, candle glow, evergreens and a chance of snow. Stockings are hung and wreaths are on the door. People can have a relaxing stay at the bed and breakfast with in-room fireplaces, and breakfast served in your room. Or people can enjoy the new lodge and cabin suites. Regular Narrows Creek store hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Cash Bash

A Cash Bash will be hosted by the Lawrence Township Fire Department of Clearfield and the Rescue, Hose & Ladder of Curwensville. It will include food, beverages and cash prizes. Tickets are $30 and admit two people; only 450 tickets will be sold for the event. Tickets can be purchased from any fire department member. Doors will open at 5 p.m. at the Florian Banquet Hall, Clearfield. There will be dinner and an early bird drawing at 6 p.m.; prize drawings will start at 7 p.m. and last until 10 p.m. Every five minutes, there will be a $100 drawing; every 30 minutes, there will be a $500 drawing. At the end of the night at 10 p.m., there will be a grand prize drawing of $2,000. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win but do need their ticket for admission.

Job Fair

Lock Haven Clearfield

Lock Haven University Clearfield Campus and the Clearfield County CareerLink will host a job fair Nov. 19 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The job fair is open to the community and there will be more than 20 employers from the region available to meet with prospective employees, to discuss job openings and to accept resumes. The job fair will be held in the Academic Building and reservations are not required.
