Maxine Joy Thompson, 57, of Lanse died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015 at her residence. Born Nov. 21, 1957 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Paul D. “Woody” and Shirley M. Whitton Thompson.
She was a member of the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Philipsburg. She was a 1976 graduate of the Susquenita High School. She worked as a food services supervisor for the state until her retirement.
She is survived by a brother, Dana Thompson and his wife, Lisa of Lanse; a niece, Jenelle Rose Thompson of Morrisdale; and a nephew, Dana Paul Thompson Jr. of Fairfield.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Thompson.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Home, Morrisdale, with Father William R. Walker officiating. Burial will be in the Kylertown Presbyterian Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
