William Michael Burega, 67, of Ramey died at home Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, following an 11-year struggle with cancer. He was born Nov. 20, 1947 in Troy, NY.
He is survived by his wife at home, Mary Jo Sigel Confer Burega. They have two daughters, Crystal (Jack) Johnston of Houtzdale and Amanda (Eric) Oliver of Smithmill.
They also raised Mary Jo’s children, Ronald Confer of Theodore, Ala., and Debra Leber of Morrisville. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He served eight years in the U.S. Air Force. He drove bus and truck for several local companies in the area before retiring from Glenn O. Hawbraker. He enjoyed bowling, car racing and Fox News.
At Mr. Burega’s request, there will be no services.
