Helen Mae (Williams) Baughman, 91, a resident of Ridgeview Elder Care Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville, and formerly of Boggs Township, West Decatur, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015 at the center.

Born Oct. 11, 1924, she was the daughter of Austin Henry and Esther Maude (Shaw) Williams. She was a graduate of Philipsburg High School and the Philadelphia School of Beauty.

She was first employed by the former Prave’s Beauty Salon in Clearfield, and she continued to serve her many friends and family as a beautician from her own home.  She was also employed by the Philipsburg Cigar Plant, Viceroy Clothing Factory in Osceola Mills and the Clearfield Dairy Queen.

She was the oldest living member of the Salem United Methodist Church in West Decatur and had also attended the Hyde Wesleyan Church.  During her lifetime, she had held numerous positions in the Salem United Methodist Church and also enjoyed participating in craft shows.  She was a very talented seamstress, and she also enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint canvas and making wedding cakes for many friends and family.

She was wed to Lloyd William Baughman on June 24, 1946, who preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 2006. They were married for more than 60 years.  She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William C. Williams Sr. and Robert N. Williams.

Surviving are two children, Althea (Baughman)  Pusateri and her husband, Anthony of Baltimore, Md., and Kenneth G. Baughman and his wife, Karen (Srock) of West Decatur and three granddaughters, Jennifer Pusateri of Baltimore, Md.,  Kristen (Baughman) Gray and her husband, Edward of West Decatur and Karey (Baughman) Dean and her husband, Lyle of Plant City, Fla.

Surviving are a grandson, Mark Pusateri of Baltimore, Md.; two great-grandsons, Carson and Wyatt Gray of West Decatur; and a sister, Mary Ann Gearhart and her husband, John of Woodland.  Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Helen Baughman will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, with the Rev. John Croft and the Rev. Robert Croft co-officiating. Burial will be in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
