CLEARFIELD – GANT Media has announced the launch of its new app, GANT News, for Android and IOS to deliver the latest news headlines to its mobile audience.
The free app enhances and combines the best of the site’s digital interactivity. It also takes advantage of tablet and smartphone technology.
The app allows readers to swipe through news sections and to tap to read full stories. It allows readers to tap original posts to direct them back to the GANT site.
Smartphone and Tablet users can share stories directly from the app and enjoy enhanced multimedia content, such as CNN video, Twitter news, digital circulars and classified ads.
The app also allows readers to interact with the GANT Newsroom. Readers can share photos and send news tips and story ideas using the “submit news” icon.
Users who opt in for push notifications will receive local breaking news alerts directly to their mobile device.

Plans for a second version of the app are already under way with expanded news content categories and new social features.
