State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about a hit-and-run accident that occurred Thursday on Powell Street in Morris Township. Further, a vehicle operated by Duane S. Maines of Woodland was traveling east when he lost control. His vehicle exited the east berm and came to a final rest in some brush. Maines then fled the scene and didn’t notify state police of the accident. He was located a short time later and charged with numerous traffic violations through the district court.
State police at DuBois
- On Wednesday Michael L. Pugh, 40, of Rockaway, NY, was operating a truck-tractor on Interstate 80 west at mile-marker 88 in Washington Township. He was stopped by the Pennsylvania State Police for a motor carrier safety inspection. During the inspection, Pugh was allegedly found to have an active warrant from the New York City Police Department. Pugh was subsequently taken into custody and charged as a Fugitive from Justice; he was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail to await extradition.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about mislaid property on Four Mile Road, which involved a Holt bow. Anyone who may find the bow is asked to turn it into police.
- Police were called to a two-vehicle, non-reportable accident at Sapp Bros.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident.
