Burnice Doris Hayward, 66, of Clearfield died Monday, Oct. 26, 2015 at the Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

She was born May 12, 1949, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Burnice (Griffin) Bloom.

Mrs. Hayward was employed for more than 30 years at the former Kent’s Sportswear, Curwensville.

She also enjoyed crocheting and reading in her spare time. She was a member of Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Curwensville.

She is survived by her husband, Louis James Hayward, to whom she was wed Aug. 30, 1969, and two children, Melissa Wisor and her husband, Jason of Woodland and Michael Hayward and his wife, Rebecca of DuBois.

She is survived by three step-daughters, Denise Millinder and her husband, Steve of West Decatur, Lisa Stephens and her husband, Emery of Shawville and Lori Miller of Clearfield; two grandchildren, Jacob Derek Holes and Kaya Paige Hayward; and three sisters and a brother, Sally Coxey, Sandy Turpin, Diane Rancik and Lloyd Bloom.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her sister, Carol Hummel.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Curwensville, with the Rev. Stephen D. Shields officiating.

Burial was held in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 725 Susquehanna Ave., Curwensville.
