State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an alleged theft that occurred sometime between July 1 and Tuesday on First Avenue in Beccaria Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed $1,300 in cash and approximately $300 in change from the victim’s residence. State police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
State police at DuBois
- On Oct. 19 a 26-year-old York man allegedly provided a fictitious name and date of birth to a state trooper during a DUI accident investigation on Interstate 80 westbound at mile-marker 89.2 in Washington Township. The male was a passenger in the vehicle involved with the accident, state police said.
- State police received a report about a DUI accident Sunday on the Reynoldsville-Sykesville Road in Winslow Township. Upon investigation state police allegedly found a 37-year-old Sykesville man was under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and placed under arrest for suspected DUI. Charges are currently pending lab analysis, state police said.
- On Saturday a 40-year-old St. Marys man reportedly ingested drugs and overdose as a result. Emergency personnel, according to state police, revived the man and transported him for treatment. State police allegedly located a small amount of an unknown substance at the scene and are continuing their investigation.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred Monday on North Centre Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, two women allegedly engaged in a verbal altercation that turned physical. Both women were cited for harassment, state police said.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an alleged DUI Wednesday on Harmony Road in Burnside Township. Further, a 29-year-old Burnside man was allegedly found sleeping in his car along the roadway. He was allegedly believed to be under the influence of both drugs and alcohol. He was also allegedly in possession of drug paraphernalia. Lab results are pending at this time, state police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct at the elementary school.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with an incident involving a missing juvenile.
- Police received three requests to assist motorists.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft by unlawful taking.
- Police received an animal complaint that occurred on Village Road.
- Police assisted with a medical emergency on Clark Street.
DuBois City
- Police were dispatched to the 200 block of West Long Avenue for an unconscious person on Saturday. Officers made contact with a female who was laying on the floor and allegedly being uncooperative with responding medical personnel. She was allegedly found to be highly intoxicated and complaining of injuries. The female was transported to the Penn Highlands Hospital for treatment, police said.
- Police were dispatched to an alleged disturbance Saturday in the 100 block of East Scribner Avenue. The complainant told officers that she and another relative had been jumped by a known male. The male, she said,, had fled the scene and was believed to be heading to his residence in the Clarion area. However, the complainant did not want to pursue charges, police said.
- Police were dispatched to an Olive Avenue residence on Saturday, where a female had fallen from a second-floor window. The female was transported to Penn Highlands Hospital for treatment, police said. Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of an elderly female Monday on East Scribner Avenue. A neighbor told police that the female was not answering the door, and he was to take her to an appointment. Officers arrived and the neighbor provided access to a hidden key. Police checked the residence; however, the female wasn’t there.
- On Monday police were summoned to the 100 block of West Long Avenue for a report about a male who was allegedly outside of an apartment building yelling and making unreasonable noise. Officers made contact with a male in the area and asked him to lower his voice. The male entered the building when his grandmother came out to retrieve him, police said.
- Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Maple Avenue to check the welfare of a male on Tuesday. Further, a caller told police that the male’s dog has been barking, and they have not seen him for a few days. Officers were able to speak with a family member, learn the male was OK and the dog was being cared for.
- Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at 2:47 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of North Brady Street and Park Avenue. Upon arrival officers determined that there weren’t any injuries as a result, and both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene. Upon investigation police learned a vehicle was turning left from Sheetz onto North Brady Street and traveling south. In doing so, the operator pulled into the side of a tractor-trailer traveling north. There was minimal damage to the tractor-trailer and moderate damage to the passenger vehicle, police said.
- Police received a report about an alarm that was activated Tuesday at Tractor Supply on Beaver Drive. Officers found an open door and cleared the interior of the building; a key holder arrived and advised nothing appeared to be out of the ordinary.
Sandy Township
- A 53-year-old Weedville woman lost control of her vehicle Monday when she attempted to avoid hitting a vehicle that stopped abruptly on the Bee Line Highway. This, she told police, caused her vehicle to overturn and come to rest on its roof. No injuries and major damage were reported, police said.
- On Monday a 24-year-old Kersey woman was stopped for the above accident when her vehicle was rear-ended by a silver Dodge truck that then fled the scene. Upon investigation officers located the vehicle owner, and the investigation is continuing.
- A semi-truck driven by a 39-year-old Iowa man attempted to turn around in the parking lot of Wayne Road Storage on Bee Line Highway on Monday. The truck ran over a road sign and hit a protective post, and the man then left the scene. Officers located the truck and its driver at Hardware Specialties and handled the situation without incident.
- The driver of a truck was backing out of a parking space at Pilot Monday when his truck hit another one parked nearby. Minor damage and no injuries were reported, police said.
- A truck driver reported that while he was in Pilot on Tuesday, someone hit the side of his truck. He said this caused minor damage, and the suspect vehicle then left the scene.
- Officers responded to a Hanes Drive residence for a reported vehicle fire Tuesday. No one was in the vehicle, and fire crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire. Police said that it appears the fire was accidental.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Old Navy on Tuesday.
- On Tuesday a 52-year-old DuBois woman alleged that while at Isabella’s, her 33-year-old ex-husband approached her and attempted to by her a drink. The woman has a Protection from Abuse order on the man, which includes a no alcohol cause. The man was placed in custody, and charges have been filed, police said.
