CLEARFIELD – District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week.

Shaw identified the fugitive as Shannon Brink, 39, of Westover Road, Westover. Brink is wanted for failure to appear at Arraignment Court held on Oct. 7.

On July 17, Deputy George DeHaven of the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office filed a criminal complaint against Brink. He charged Brink with hindering apprehension/providing false information to law enforcement, M2.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on July 15, deputies from the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office responded to a local residence in an attempt to serve a bench warrant on a known individual.

Upon arrival at the residence, deputies allegedly knocked on the door for several minutes until a male, later identified as Brink, appeared at the window. Brink allegedly related that the other individual was not present.

When advised that giving false information to hinder apprehension could result in charges, Brink allegedly continued to deny that the other individual was inside. However, the other individual was allegedly observed inside the residence and was taken into custody. The other individual allegedly related to deputies that Brink was aware she was there.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Aug. 26, at which time all charges were held to court. On Oct. 7, Brink failed to appear at Arraignment Court, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Brink is described as a Caucasian male standing 5 feet, 9 inches tall. He has blue eyes and gray hair.

Anyone with knowledge of Brink’s location is asked to call Clearfield County Crime Stoppers at 800-376-4700. All calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential.
