Luttman Pleads Guilty in Police Stand-off Case

CLEARFIELD – A DuBois man has pleaded guilty to threatening police and causing a four-hour stand-off.

Gregg Matthew Luttman, 32, pleaded guilty before Judge Fredric J. Ammerman to both aggravated assault and terroristic threats. He will serve six months to one year in jail and two years consecutive probation.

Former Coalport Borough Secretary Gets State Prison for Stealing More Than $23K

CLEARFIELD – A former Coalport Borough secretary was sentenced to state prison for stealing more than $23,000 from the town.

Donna Jean Peterson, 45, 25 White St., Irvona, pleaded guilty before Judge Fredric J. Ammerman during colloquy court to a felony count of access device fraud.

Kylertown Man Dies in Aircraft Crash

COOPER TOWNSHIP – One man is dead after a small aircraft crash at approximately 6:35 p.m. Monday on Rolling Stone Road in Cooper Township, according to the state police at Clearfield.

Steiner Accused of Driving Under the Influence of Methadone

DUBOIS – A Clymer woman is accused of driving under the influence of methadone.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office Oct. 3, Sharylynn Rae Steiner, 30, 375 Hancock St., Clymer, is charged by the DuBois-based state police with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, careless driving and two summary traffic charges.

Charles Accused of Driving Under the Influence of Heroin

DUBOIS – A DuBois man is accused of being under the influence of narcotics following an incident at the DuBois Mall.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office Oct. 5, Gregory Raymond Charles, 35, 19 ½ Olive Ave., DuBois, is charged buy the Sandy Township police with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, restrictions on alcoholic beverages and one summary traffic charge.

Sylvis Accused of Crashing Car While Under the Influence of Drugs

DUBOIS – A Sykesville man is accused of driving under the influence of narcotics following a traffic accident.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, filed in District Judge Patrick Ford’s office Oct. 5, Matthew Michael Silvis, 28, 121 Sykesville, is charged by the Sandy Township police with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving following a traffic accident Aug. 1.

Sherwood Charged with Drug-related DUI

DUBOIS – A DuBois woman is facing charges following a traffic stop.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office, Traci A. Sherwood, 44, 133 E. Park Ave., DuBois, is charged by the DuBois City police with manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture, deliver or possess a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and one summary traffic charge.

Suplizio: DuBois, Sandy Engaged in Talks on Inflow and Infiltration

DUBOIS – DuBois City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio informed council Monday night about ongoing inflow and infiltration talks with Sandy Township.
