First Faith Lutheran Cooperative Welcomes Pastor

PHILIPSBURG – The First Evangelical Lutheran of Philipsburg and Faith United Lutheran of Houtzdale would like to introduce Pastor Kaye Hute to the Moshannon Valley area.  Hute will lead the two churches into a new cooperative, First Faith Lutheran.

Hute worked in mammography for 30 years. After graduating from Old Dominion University in 2004 with her Bachelor’s degree, she went to Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary and graduated with Master of Divinity.

Ordained in 2008, she served as pastor of New Hope Lutheran Parish until September. She has one son, Andy, who lives in Virginia with his wife, Heather.  Hute will reside in Houtzdale.

The churches of the newly formed First Faith Lutheran Cooperative welcome people to stop in and meet Hute.

Services at First Evangelical Lutheran in Philipsburg are held at 9 a.m. while services at Faith United Lutheran in Houtzdale will be held at 11 a.m. each Sunday.
