Chris Mayhew, 63, of Clearfield died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015 at her home.
She was born Jan. 17, 1952 in Olean, NY, a daughter of the late Louis Rossi and Wilma Heberling Rossi Kephart.
She was a graduate of the Clearfield Area High School and the Beauty Academy in Altoona. She also received a certification from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
She had been employed by Kent’s Sportswear of Curwensville, Target Sportswear in Fletcherville, C. Classic Dodge of Clearfield and St. Moritz Security Services in Philipsburg.
She was a member of the New Castle Community Church. She attended the Centre Grove United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse F. Mayhew, to whom she was wed June 11, 1985 in Glen Richey, and a daughter, Tina Monoskey of Curwensville.
She is survived by a granddaughter, Corin Monoskey, who she and her husband raised; a brother, Scott Kephart and his wife, Carla of Clearfield; and five step-children, Michael Mayhew of Clearfield, Jodi Thurman, Joyce Smeal and her husband, Thomas and Jackie Leroux and her husband, Russell, all of Texas, and Joanne Mayhew of West Virginia.
She is also survived by her pets that she especially cared for.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with Dr. Randy Willis and Rev. Jim Knepp officiating. Burial will follow be in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 275 21st St., Clearfield, or to the Centre Grove United Methodist Church, 1100 Village Rd., Clearfield.
