Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders said he would be stranded on a deserted island with Florida Sen. Marco Rubio because “He’s used to the sun.”
And what his Ben and Jerry’s ice cream flavor would be? “Bern, Bernie, Bern.”
Those were some of the answers Sanders gave to Ellen DeGeneres during his appearance on her show, taped Wednesday. Sanders also showed off some of his moves, obliging his host’s frequent request for her guests to dance.
Sanders was also asked by DeGeneres whether he had ever been in handcuffs.
“I don’t know exactly what you mean by that. I was,” he said, chuckling alongside DeGeneres. “I take it to mean, was I ever arrested by the police. When I was young, I was involved in a civil rights demonstration.”
