Struble to Speak at United Way Campaign Kick-off

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Area United Way later this week will hold its annual kick-off celebration luncheon at the St. Charles Café Dining Room, and the featured keynote speaker will be Clearfield Area School District Superintendent Terry Struble.

“Mr. Struble’s bio highlights just a few of the myriad reasons he was asked to be the keynote,” explained Campaign Chair Debbie Bowser.

“He is in his third year with the school district after previously spending 13 years with Mount Pleasant Area as an assistant principal, principal and then serving the last five years as superintendent.”

Struble began his career in education as a physics teacher for Grove City Area Schools.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in physics/secondary education from Grove City College, his Master’s degree/Principal Certification from Westminster College and his Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility from Gannon University.

However, Struble is also best-known for being a husband of 18 years to his wife, Kim, and father to three daughters who are students, as well as his incredible volunteer service and love of community.

The CAUW raises funds each year, and this year’s goal is $245,000 to help 24 local member agencies in eastern, southern and central Clearfield County.

“If you have not donated to the United Way, but in looking through the list of who we help, you would like to help us reach out and make differences throughout the county, please send your tax deductible donation to the CAUW, 18 N. Second St., P.O. Box 1430, Clearfield, PA 16830,” Bowser stated.

“You can also give through PayPal at clearfieldareaunitedway.org, and learn more about many CAUW programs, including coordinating donations of laptops to luggage to organizations in need, Jeans for Teens, the free FamilyWize Discount Prescription Cards,  the Reading Ripples Project, United for United Way Change Drives, Dine Arounds and more.”
