Houtzdale Man Accused of Assault, Resisting Arrest

WOODWARD TOWNSHIP – A Houtzdale man is facing simple assault, resisting arrest and related charges after an alleged incident Sunday on Colorado Drive in Woodward Township, reported the state police at Clearfield.

LT Supers Approve Police Patrol Car Purchase

CLEARFIELD – Lawrence Township Police Sgt. James Glass presented the supervisors with quotes for a new patrol vehicle at last night’s meeting. Total cost for a Chevrolet Caprice after outfitting for police service was just more than $40,200, and for a Ford Taurus was $31,855.

Bakery Owner Found Guilty on One of Three Counts

CLEARFIELD – A jury deliberated for approximately 50 minutes Tuesday afternoon before finding a local bakery owner, Uzi Kornhauser, 56, of DuBois guilty on one of three counts of indecent assault.
