HARRISBURG – State Sen. John N. Wozniak (D-Cambria/Clearfield/Bedford) and borough officials will be walking along borough streets and listening to issues and concerns of Curwensville residents on Friday, Oct. 9 at 10 a.m.

The “Walk with Wozniak” initiative begins at the Curwensville Fire Station at 408 Filbert St.  The Walk will conclude at 12 p.m.

“The idea behind the ‘Walk with Wozniak’ initiative is to understand first-hand about problems and issues impacting local communities by walking borough streets and meeting residents at their homes and businesses,” Wozniak said.

Wozniak said that if Curwensville residents are unable to join in the walk he will host a mobile district office at the borough building, 900 Susquehanna Av. from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.

“The goal of my mobile district office program is to make the services of my office more accessible in communities throughout the district,” Wozniak said.  “This is also an opportunity to meet with my staff and learn how they can be more help to you.”

Wozniak said that his staff will be available to process state forms for property tax and rent rebates, PACE and PACENET as well as other state programs and services at the mobile district office.  They will also be on-hand to help unravel bureaucracy and get answers to your questions.

Wozniak said that he plans on visiting other communities as a part of the “Walk with Wozniak” and mobile district office program in the near future.
