Frances Cotter Hagan, 79, of Houtzdale died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2015 at Epworth Manor in Tyrone.
Born Aug. 25, 1936, she was the daughter of Daniel and Mary (Leynaud) Cotter.
On Feb. 9, 1963 in the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Houtzdale, she married Gerald Hagan, who preceded her in death on July 1, 2008.
She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale.
She is survived by a son, Jerry Hagan of Las Vegas, Nev., and a sister, Patricia Wulderk and her husband, Raymond of Houtzdale and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Louis, Daniel and Eugene Cotter and sisters, Florence Kost, Shirley Ekman, Catherine ”Cass” Smith and Evelyn Tubo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, with Father Marc Solomon as celebrant.
Friends will be received from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and from 12 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale.
The Altar Rosary Society will recite the Rosary at 3 p.m., and a vigil prayer service will be led by Father Marc Solomon at 7:30 p.m., both at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery, Houtzdale.
