Ben Carson says he would have confronted Oregon shooter

Ben Carson said Tuesday he would have confronted the shooter at Umpqua Community College if he had been there and would have asked everyone else to gang up on the shooter with him.

The presidential hopeful was asked by Fox News “Fox and Friends” co-host Brian Kilmeade about what would happen if a gunman pointed a gun at him and asked him his religion.

“Not only would I probably not cooperate with him, I would not just stand there and let him shoot me. I would say ‘Hey, guys, everybody attack him! He may shoot me but he can’t get us all,'” Carson said.

Carson’s photo of himself holding up a sign reading “I am a Christian” went viral following reports that the shooter at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, had asked students whether they Christian.
