WOODWARD TOWNSHIP – A Houtzdale man is facing simple assault, resisting arrest and related charges after an alleged incident Sunday on Colorado Drive in Woodward Township, reported the state police at Clearfield.
According to state police, Patrick Dacillo of Houtzdale allegedly assaulted the victim by punching her in the face and causing injury. When state police made contact with him, Dacillo allegedly resisted by running and refusing to be put in handcuffs during a struggle.
State police said Dacillo allegedly spit on troopers twice while in custody. Also, Dacillo allegedly damaged the victim’s vehicle, as well as attempted to kick out the patrol car’s rear passenger window and door.
Dacillo was lodged in the Clearfield County Jail on charges of simple assault, resisting arrest, harassment, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
