State police at Clearfield
- State police responded to an accident Friday on Morann Avenue in Woodward Township. Lisa Mick of Houtzdale was traveling north in her vehicle, which was being followed by another being operated by Samuel Demko, also of Houtzdale. The Mick vehicle stopped to make a right-hand turn into a driveway when it was rear-ended by the Demko vehicle. Both Mick and Demko were wearing their seatbelts, and no injuries were reported, state police said. The Demko vehicle was driven from the scene; however, Mick’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and required towing. Demko was cited for the accident.
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of theft by deception that occurred July 7 on Main Street in Cooper Township. During the incident, the victim was allegedly contacted by telephone and advised his computer was going to crash. The caller allegedly told the victim he would provide him with anti-spyware for which the victim paid $239; however, it wasn’t ever given to him. State police would like to urge residents not to provide financial information under these circumstances.
- State police received a report about a hit-and-run accident Saturday on Clearfield Street in Wallaceton Borough. A vehicle was traveling east when its operator lost control and struck a PennDOT sign and a utility pole. Afterward the operator fled the scene.
- State police received a report about an alleged burglary/theft that occurred sometime between Sept. 3 and Sunday on Patty Lane in Pike Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole two porcelain dolls, a dolphin shelf and a Mr. Beer decoration from the victim’s shed. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- State police received a report about a two-vehicle, alcohol-related accident that occurred Sunday on Route 153 near Glendale Boulevard in Beccaria Township. Further, a vehicle operated by a Flinton man was traveling south while another operated by a Coalport man was traveling in the opposite direction. For unknown reasons, the Flinton man’s vehicle traveled into the Coalport man’s lane of travel, causing a head-on collision and disabling both vehicles. Both men were transported to the Altoona Hospital with unknown injuries; the Flinton man was allegedly found to have been consuming alcohol earlier that night, state police said. Charges for DUI are pending against the Flinton man as a result. State police were assisted at the scene by the Glendale Fire Company and the state police at Holidaysburg.
State police at DuBois
- State police investigated an alleged incident of DUI that occurred Saturday on Route 322 in Winslow Township. During the incident, a Reynoldsville woman was allegedly stopped for several traffic violations. Also, state police allegedly detected a strong odor of alcohol on her breath; she was subsequently arrested for DUI and other related offenses. Charges are currently pending blood test results, state police said.
- On Saturday state police allegedly stopped a DuBois woman for a traffic violation in the area of West Long Avenue and Robinson Street in DuBois City. During the stop, state police allegedly detected the odor of marijuana coming from her vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, state police allegedly found the woman was in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Charges are to be filed through the district court, state police said.
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of DUI that occurred Sunday on Route 830 in Sandy Township. During the incident, a Falls Creek mm was allegedly stopped for a traffic violation. While speaking with him, state police allegedly detected a faint odor of alcohol on his breath. State police also allegedly observed that he was under the influence of a control substance. State place subsequently placed the man under arrest for DUI and other related summary charges.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of underage drinking that occurred Friday at Nittany Mountain Trail Rides. During the incident, an 18-year-old University Park woman was allegedly found to have been drinking. She was transported by emergency personnel to the hospital for an evaluation. She will be mailed a non-traffic citation for underage drinking.
- State police received a report about an accident that occurred Sunday on Loch Lomond Road in Rush Township. William B. Sypin of Allport was traveling north and negotiating a right-hand curve when he fell asleep. His vehicle subsequently crossed into the oncoming lane, exited the roadway and impacted a house. His vehicle impacted the house with its 11 o’clock position and then continued north for another 100 feet before coming to a final rest in the oncoming lane of travel. The Sypin vehicle sustained disabling damage while the house had moderate to major damage to its wall. Sypin wasn’t injured and wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. The homeowner was at home but wasn’t injured, state police said. State police were assisted by towing services and the Philipsburg Fire Department.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of theft by deception that occurred sometime Sept. 29-30 on South Main Street in Young Township. During the incident, someone allegedly attempted to make multiple unauthorized purchases using the victim’s account information. The incident remains under investigation, state police said.
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of theft by unlawful taking that occurred Friday on Baird Lane in Bell Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a pistol, approximately $100 in U.S. Currency and a hand-stitched quilt. The incident remains under investigation, state police said.
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft that occurred Sept. 25 at the Punxsutawney Wal-Mart in Young Township. During the incident, a Rossiter man allegedly entered the store and removed batteries without paying. Charges are currently pending at this time, state police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an accident with injuries at the intersection of Riverview Road and Fullerton Street. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct on Lawhead Street.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic assault that occurred on Barclay Street.
- Police received a report about a single-vehicle accident on Coal Hill.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute on Washington Avenue.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief. During the incident, someone allegedly broke a window on a vehicle parked at a Bloom Road residence.

- Police received a report about an alleged burglary at a residence. The incident remains under investigation, police said.

DuBois City
- Police received a report about a residential alarm Friday in the 300 block of Hillcrest Drive. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK, noting it is unknown what caused the alarm.
- Police received a report about someone who allegedly caused damage to and removed money from a vending machine Friday outside of a business in the 500 block of Sunflower Drive. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
- Police received a report about an activated alarm Friday at Tractor Supply on Beaver Drive. Police were cancelled by the key holder as they arrived at the scene.
- Police arrested a 34-year-old DuBois woman for DUI on Saturday. She was allegedly operating her vehicle without proper lighting and stopped on South Jared Street. During the stop, police allegedly determined that she was intoxicated, and charges are pending toxicology results.
- On Saturday Evergreen Street residents found a 3-year-old girl who was walking in the neighborhood without any shoes on. They took her inside and cared for her until police arrival. Police were able to locate her father who had fallen asleep, at which point the girl scaled a baby gate and exited their residence. Police forwarded the report to Children & Youth Services; no charges were filed at this time.

Sandy Township
- On Friday a 38-year-old DuBois man was allegedly seen by Wal-Mart employees attempting to take an SD card valued at $29.88 without paying for it. Retail theft charges were filed, police said.
- A vehicle driven by a 31-year-old Dubois woman was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting a vehicle driven by a 74-year-old DuBois man that was stopped in traffic Friday on Slab Run Road. Minor damage and no injuries were reported, police said.
- Police responded to a Behringer Highway residence for an alleged neighbor dispute on Friday. A resident had blocked off a road and posted an inappropriate sign directed at the neighbors, police said. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Taco Bell on Friday.
- A Dubois woman accelerated her vehicle while pulling into a parking space at the Commons on Friday. As a result, it hit a cement pole, causing moderate damage to her vehicle. No injuries were reported, police said.
- On Friday a 54-year-old East Maloney Road man reported that his 13-year-old daughter went on a four-wheeler ride with a friend and did not return home. Officers located the girl at her mother’s house on Atlantic Avenue.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Aldi’s on Saturday.
- Employees at Shop ‘N Save alleged that three individuals were walking around the store with black ski masks on, making customers and employees uncomfortable. The individuals then left the store without buying anything. Officers located the three individuals outside the store and determined they were not a threat and issued them a warning.
- A 25-year-old DuBois woman was in the left turn lane on East DuBois Avenue when a vehicle driven by a 47-year-old DuBois woman pulled in front of her, causing the two to collide on Saturday. Minor to moderate damage and no injuries were reported, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute at a Forest Avenue residence on Saturday. Upon arrival officers located a 25-year-old man and his 25-year-old girlfriend who both admitted to having a loud fight but denied it being physical. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- A 49-year-old DuBois man alleged that while his vehicle was parked at the Sandy Club on Sunday, someone hit and damaged it. Officers reviewed security footage, and the incident remains under investigation.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at ABCS on Sunday.
