Obituary Notice: Evelyn A. “Betty” Craft

Evelyn A. Betty Craft, 89, of Moshannon died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015 at the Huntingdon Nursing & Rehabilitation Home.

Born April 29, 1926 in Bishtown, she was the daughter of the late George and Alma Fye Collar.

Mrs. Craft was a homemaker. She enjoyed farming, camping, hunting and fishing.

She was married to Melvin A. “Dick” Craft on May 21, 1949 in Milesburg. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1999.

She is survived by her daughters, Malva Gomola and her husband, Jim of Moshannon and Cindy Heichel of Landisburg and one son, Melvin W. Craft and his wife, Karen of Frenchville.

Mrs. Craft is also survived by a sister, Charlotte Peters of Woodland; her five grandchildren, Travis Heichel, Melanie Heichel James Gomola, Chad Gomola and Bryce Craft; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith A. Craft; five sisters; and six brothers.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Johnson Funeral Home, Grassflat, with Pastor Catherine Dittman officiating. Burial will be in the Askey Cemetery, Moshannon.

Friends will be received from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
