Railroad Work Will Close a Section of Route 2027 Oct. 7-9

Detour will be in effect as crossing on Mineral Springs Road is replaced

CLEARFIELD – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation had announced that Route 2027 (Mineral Springs Road) near the Clearfield County village of Mineral Springs will be closed Oct. 7-9.

The road will be closed from the railroad tracks to Long Run Road (Route 2028). The section between Route 2028 (Bigler Cutoff) and the railroad tracks will remain open.

Residents living along the closed section of Route 2027 will be able to access their homes from the Long Run Road end of Route 2027.

The closure is necessary so that workers from the RJ Corman Railroad can replace a railroad crossing southeast of Mineral Springs.

A detour will be in place during the three-day closure. Drivers will use Route 2027 (Mineral Springs Road), Route 2028 (Long Run Road) and Route 2030 (Bigler Cutoff).

Work is expected to be done by nightfall, Friday, Oct. 9. All work is weather dependent. PennDOT reminds drivers to follow all detour signs, obey posted speed limits and always buckle up.
