Obituary Notice: Roy James Fleck Jr.

Roy James Fleck Jr., 73, of Huntingdon and formerly of Sandy Ridge and Philipsburg, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015 at UPMC Altoona.

Born Aug. 6, 1942 in Boggs Township, he was the son of the late Roy James Fleck Sr. and Vera (Lumadue) Fleck.  He was married to Nancy (Neal) Fleck, who resides at home.

Mr. Fleck was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Vietnam War. Also, he was awarded a Presidential Citation, a Purple Heart and a Navy Unit Citation.

He was a member of the Marine Corps League in Quantico, Va.; the National Rifle Association; and the VFW Post No. 1754, the American Legion Post No. 24 and the Standing Stone Creek Hunting & Fishing Association, all in Huntingdon.

Mr. Fleck was retired from the Penn State University as a carpenter. He had attended the Philipsburg-Osceola High School.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara C. Donahue and two sisters, Jean McGuire and Kate Reese.

Along with his wife, he is survived by a sister, Erma Botwright and her husband, Robert of Chester Hill; two brothers, Bill Fleck and his wife, Marge of Tonawanda, NY and Robert Fleck and his wife, Sarah of State College; a grandson, Christopher S. Graham and his fiancée, Amanda Shoemaker of Wallaceton; and two great-grandchildren, Riley and Madison Graham, both of Wallaceton.

Burial with full military honors will be held at a future date at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.
