BIG RUN – The investigation is continuing into a residential fire that displaced a Big Run man at approximately 3 a.m. Wednesday at 317 E. Main Street, reported the state police at Punxsutawney.
According to state police, the fire completely destroyed the residence and its contents; the residence belonged to Donnie M. Schaffer, 40, of Big Run. Damage is estimated at $200,000.
“Because of the severity [of the] structural collapse, a more thorough examination of the scene will be completed at a later date to attempt to determine a cause of the fire, state police said.
