CLEARFIELD – Nearly 85 alumni, representing the Clearfield graduating classes of 1931-2015, participated in the Bison Alumni Band at Friday night’s homecoming game.

The Bison Alumni Band joined the current Bison Marching Band on the field and performed the Clearfield Alma Mater, the team’s Fight Song and the National Anthem.

Ray Walker, age 104, was the first drum major for the Bison Band back in 1931.  He directed the Clearfield Alma Mater.  Cathy Irwin, age 88, was the first junior high drum major and joined him on the field.

The Clearfield Area School District is proud to offer its students one of the finest music programs of any school in our region, a program with a long history of award-winning excellence.
