KELLYTOWN – The Clearfield County Historical Society will hold its annual apple cider outing and fall festival from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Oct. 11.

The event will be held at the Bloody Knox log cabin site in Kellytown, Knox Township, rain or shine. All are welcome to enjoy free samples and assist in making cider, churning butter, grinding corn, making rope and learn about blacksmithing, spinning yarn and making corn brooms.

The first 100 kids get to decorate a free pumpkin. Games will be held, including an egg toss at 2 p.m.

The log cabin will be open for tours explaining 1860’s living conditions, and history talks on the Civil War resistance will be held in the front yard at 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.

This year’s festival is sponsored by Northwest Savings Bank and Bob’s Sheds of Clearfield.
