CLEARFIELD – Staff members at Visit Clearfield County (VCC) have released the weekly events for Sept. 25-Oct 1.

Ritz Theater, downtown Clearfield

Monday-Sunday

The theater’s lobby opens at 6:30 p.m. You can grab some popcorn, even if you cannot attend the movie showings. For movies and show times, please call 814-765-5835. Prices are $6 for adults and $4 for children (12 years and under) and senior citizens (60 years and older).

Friday, Sept. 25

Harmony Grange Fair

The Harmony Grange Fair will be held from Sept. 22-26. It will feature rides, grange dinners, tractor, truck and quad pulls, music, exhibits, antique tractors, a parade and more. For more information, please call 814-762-7688.

Rock Run Recreation Area

Glow in the Dark Golf

DuBois Country Club

On Friday, Sept. 25, a Glow in the Dark Golf Tournament will be held to benefit the new WPAL DuBois Boxing and Fitness Center. Registration will begin at 7 p.m., and golf will tee off at 8:15 p.m. Entry fee includes all food and beverages, plus glow materials. Registration is $50 per person.

Clays for Conservation

Ginter

Clays for Conservation will be held Friday, Sept. 25 at the Warriors Mark Wing-shooting Lodge. Registration and warm-up will begin at 9:30 a.m.; the competition will begin at 1 p.m. Lunch, dinner and ammunition will be provided. It is a fundraiser to support the Wildlife Incentives for Non-game and Game Species (WINGS), which works to reestablish habitat.

Downtown Clearfield

A farmer’s/flea market will be held from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday in the Third Street parking lot. Vendor spaces are free; please call 814-762-6430. Yard sale and produce stands are welcome.

A farmer’s market will be held every Saturday through October from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. It is held at the corner of Brady Street and Long Avenue in downtown DuBois and sponsored by the Downtown DuBois Revitalization Group.

Woodland Campground

Fall Festival

A fall festival will be held from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Woodland Campground on Egypt Road, Woodland. It will feature a craft fair, flea market, food vendors, entertainment, raffles and more. For more information, please call 814-857-5388.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s

A Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held Saturday, Sept. 26 in DuBois. Registration will begin at 9 a.m., the opening ceremony at 10 a.m. and the walk at 10:30 a.m. The route length is two miles. For more information, please visit www.act.alz.org/Dubois2015.

Scout Programs

Parker Dam

Parker Dam State Park will again be offering programs for Webelo and now Arrow of Light. It is for cub Scouts interested in completing the requirements for the elective activities “Into the Wilds” and “Into the Woods.”  The “Into the Wilds” program will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26; the “Into the Woods” program will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26. Days of Hope Walk

DuBois Mall

The Days of Hope Walk will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at the DuBois Mall. A reception for a butterfly release will be held at 12 p.m.  Other events will also be held throughout the day.

Grapes and Hops Walk

Downtown DuBois

The Grapes and Hops Walk will be held from 3:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 in downtown DuBois. Tickets are $25.  You must be 21 years of age to participate in the event.

Curwensville Baseball

Benefit Dance

A benefit dance is being held for Curwensville Baseball on Saturday, Sept. 26. It will take place at the Smokehouse with music by Live Bait. Admission is a $20 donation per person.
