U.S., China say they won¹t engage in cyber theft

The White House said Friday that the U.S. and China have agreed to not engage in cyber theft for commercial gain against one another.

“The United States and China agree that neither country’s government will conduct or knowingly support cyber-enabled theft of intellectual property, including trade secrets or other confidential information, with the intent of providing competitive advantages to companies or commercial sectors,” a readout of a meeting between President Barack Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping said.
