Man Dies in Accidental Vehicle Fire in Cooper Twp.

COOPER TOWNSHIP – A 56-year-old Philadelphia man died as a result of an accidental vehicle fire at 6:44 a.m. Friday in Cooper Township, reported the state police at Clearfield.

According to state police, a vehicle fire was reported to emergency services. The vehicle was parked outside of a residence on private property on Cooper Avenue.

Upon arrival emergency responders extinguished the fire. Emergency responders also located a Philadelphia man deceased inside the vehicle with his dog, state police said.

At this time, state police are still attempting to notify the man’s next of kin of the vehicle fire and his death. The vehicle fire has been determined to be accidental, according to state police.
