Cambria County was created in 1804 from parts of Bedford, Huntingdon and Somerset Counties, but wasn’t fully organized until 1807.
When asked what makes Cambria County exceptional, Robert Layo of the Johnstown Chamber of Commerce said,“the area’s natural beauty and great quality of life that include outstanding recreational and cultural amenities.”
