DUBOIS – Nicole Snyder, 33, of DuBois has been identified as the victim of a homicide that allegedly occurred during the early morning hours Tuesday in DuBois City, according to Clearfield County Coroner Mike Morris.

“We are proceeding with the investigation, and an autopsy has been scheduled for this evening,” said Mike Morris. He said DuBois City police and the District Attorney’s Office are being assisted by the Pennsylvania State Police.

State troopers are currently searching for a male suspect who is wanted for his alleged involvement in the homicide, said Trooper Bruce A. Morris, Troop C community services officer.

The male suspect has been identified as 35-year-old Joseph Robert Fields. Troopers believe that Fields is in the Penfield area of Huston Township, Clearfield County.

Anyone who sees or comes into contact with Fields is asked to immediately dial 911 or to contact local law enforcement, said Bruce Morris.
