John E. Cutler, 72, of Clearfield died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 at UPMC Altoona. He was born April 6, 1943 in Hyde, a son of the late Robert and Lillian Cutler.
Mr. Cutler was employed by Glenn Irwin Corp. as a coal miner. Previously, he had worked at Bud’s Cycle Center in Clearfield.
In his spare time, Mr. Cutler loved to fish and spend time camping. He was a Methodist by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Diana (Wisor) Cutler, to whom he was wed June 1, 1961.
He is survived by three daughters, Darlene Cutler and her companion, Grover ‘Chopper’ Cutlip of DuBois, Madelene Cutler of Hyde and Bobbi Heichel and her husband, Shaun of Clearfield.
He is also seven grandchildren, Lisa, Carey and Jennifer Durnell, Tiffany Cutler, Alisha and Destiny Graham and Kyle Cutler and seven great-grandchildren, Johni Durnell, Paige and Devin Pearsall, Miley and Allie Cutler and Seth and Carla Durnell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Howard, Willard, Robert, Samuel and Burton and two sisters, Pauline and Jessie.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with the Rev. Kenneth J. Leonard officiating. Burial will follow in the Stoneville Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
