Joanne M. Martin, 77, of Drifting died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015 at her residence. Born July 4, 1938 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Nagray Franek.
Mrs. Martin was a member of the St. Severin Roman Catholic Church, Drifting.
She was married to Joseph D. Martin Sr. on Dec. 1, 1956 at the St. Severin Roman Catholic Church, Drifting. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2009.
She is survived by four sons, Joseph D. Martin Jr. and his wife, Tammy, Jeff Martin and Jerry Martin and his wife, Betty, all of Drifting, and John Martin and his wife, Karen of Williamsport.
She is survived by three sisters, Margaret Seal of Vassar, Mich., Rose Ann Hoover of Houtzdale and Miriam Koleno of Drifting; two brothers, Arthur Franek and his wife, Alice of Casanova and John Franek and his wife, Nancy of Ginter.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, one great-grand child; and one step-great-grandson.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Martin and three brothers, George, Steve and Andrew Franek.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Severin Roman Catholic Church, Drifting, with the Father David A. Perry Jr. officiating.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
