Juan Perez struck out nine batters, but the State College Spikes took a 8-0 defeat at the hands of the Batavia Muckdogs on Wednesday night at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, putting them a game back of the New York-Penn League Wild Card lead with five games remaining in the 2015 regular season.
