New Interactive PennDOT Map Details Road, Bridge Construction Projects, Wozniak Says

HARRISBURG – State Sen. John Wozniak (D-Cambria) said that a new interactive Pennsylvania Department of Transportation map describing current construction projects – and those that will be coming soon to Cambria, Clearfield and Bedford counties – is available for public inspection.

“The PennDOT projects page is a new and unique way of understanding all of the road and bridge projects that are now – or will be – under construction,” Wozniak said.  “The page provides a description of the projects and where work will be done.”

Information on the projects is available through a link on Wozniak’s Senate Web site www.senator-wozniak.com.

In addition to examining a project schedule and where future work will be done, Wozniak, the Democratic chair of the Senate Transportation Committee, said residents can see how the transportation financing bill (Act 89) has been utilized for work in Cambria, Clearfield and Bedford counties.

“Act 89 generates $2.4 billion dollars to complete needed projects throughout Pennsylvania,” Wozniak said.  “There are many road and bridge projects in my district that will be finished because key investments in transportation are being made.”

Wozniak said the new funding is providing jobs in the construction phase and in the creation of a new state-of-the-art transportation network.

PennDOT is responsible for 40,000 miles of roads and 25,000 bridges.
