Jane E. McLaughlin, 86, of Clearfield died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015 at the Penn Highlands Clearfield. She was born Sept. 25, 1928, a daughter of the late Stephen and Pearl (Heberling) Kitko.
Mrs. McLaughlin retired from the Clearfield Hospital after nearly 20 years of employment. Prior, she had worked at Long’s Dairy, Clearfield Diner, ClearHaven, CharRue Restaurant and the Clearfield Hotel. She also had a special love of her dog, Buddy.
She is survived by four children, Steve McLaughlin; Norma Long and her husband, Bill; Wanda McLaughlin; and Sue Centra and her husband, Chris, all of Clearfield.
She is survived by six grandchildren, Lisa McLaughlin and Stephen McLaughlin, Deanna Hunt and her husband, David, William Long and his wife, Shasta, Elizabeth McCaughan and her husband, Michael and Chris Centra Jr.; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by four sisters, Doris Saunders and her husband, John of Hampton, Va., Sharon Stoops and Peggy Schock, both of Virginia, and Mary Jane Rowles and her husband, Raymond of Brockport; and three brothers, Jim Kitko of Curwensville, William Kitko and his wife, Sandy of Woodland and Howard Kitko and his wife, Kathy of Morrisdale.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilton H. McLaughlin; an infant son, David McLaughlin; a sister, Pauline Kitko; and two brothers, Allen and Stephen Kitko.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with the Rev. Kenneth J. Leonard officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Joy Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic, 1380 Shawville Hwy., Woodland, or to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospice, P.O. Box 992, Clearfield.
