State police at Clearfield
- An incident of harassment occurred Wednesday on Railroad Street in Coalport Borough. During the incident, a Coalport man allegedly subjected the victim to physical contact. Charges were filed against him as a result of the incident, state police said.
- An accident occurred Wednesday on Interstate 80 at mile-marker 117.8 in Lawrence Township. Shawn P. Young of Muncy lost control of his freightliner and struck a guiderail during a sudden heavy rain storm. No injuries were reported, and towing services assisted at the scene, state police said. Lawrence Township Fire Police also assisted with traffic control, and the left lane of I-80 was closed for about one hour.
State police at DuBois
- An incident of harassment occurred Tuesday on the Bennetts Valley Highway in Huston Township. During the incident, two females allegedly engaged into a physical altercation. Charges were filed as a result of the incident, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of burglary occurred Thursday at a North Sixth Street residence in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a known suspect allegedly entered the residence and removed a wallet containing cash and credit cards. The incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.
- An incident of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct occurred Tuesday on North Sixth Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a known juvenile allegedly threw a bicycle that belonged to a man. The juvenile was cited for criminal mischief and the man for swearing and causing a disturbance, state police said.
- A domestic assault incident occurred Sunday on East Spruce Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 16-year-old boy allegedly pushed a 53-year-old man who then assaulted him (the boy). The man was subsequently arrested for simple assault and harassment and arraigned at the Centre County Jail; he was released on $25,000 unsecured bail, state police said.
- An incident of theft occurred Aug. 11 at CNB Bank in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly removed the 150th anniversary plaque presented to the bank by Philipsburg Borough during Philipsburg Heritage Days. They also allegedly removed the stand used to display the plaque. The plaque and stand are valued at $75, state police said. - An alleged incident of simple assault was investigated by state police after it occurred sometime between May 10 and Aug. 5 on North Main Street in Young Township.
Lawrence Township
- Police responded to the Wal-Mart intersection to direct traffic due to a malfunctioning traffic light.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft by deception and deceptive business practices that occurred at a local cemetery.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of child endangerment. Children & Youth Services assisted police.
- Police received a report about an alleged mail scam.
- Police received a report about an alleged retail theft and a fraudulent return scam at Wal-Mart. Upon arrival police allegedly determined that several people were working together to steal items from the store and then return them for gift cards. Police obtained video surveillance and identified the suspects; charges are pending the completion of the investigation, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of loitering and prowling on Wood Avenue. Police, however, were unable to locate anyone around the residence.
