State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime between July 15 and Aug. 13 on Shady Lane in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly keyed the passenger’s side of the victim’s car, which caused damage to its paint.
State police at Punxsutawney
- On Friday state police stopped Adam Dinsmore of Dayton on Route 119 in Young Township. He was allegedly found to have an active warrant out of Trumbull County, Ohio. He was arraigned and lodged in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $40,000 bail to await extradition back to Ohio.
State police at Ridgway
- A motorcycle accident occurred Monday on the Quehanna Highway in Benezette Township. Joseph M. Obringer of Morrisdale was traveling north when his motorcycle experienced a mechanical malfunction. He lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle; his motorcycle then struck the guiderails on the right side of the roadway. Obringer sustained major injuries and was flown to the Altoona Trauma Center, state police said. Obringer’s motorcycle was towed from the scene; state police were assisted at the scene by the Jay Township Fire Department and Fire Police and the Sinnemahoning Fire Police.
- An accidental fire occurred Sunday at a Poplar Road residence in St. Marys City. Upon investigation state police determined it was accidental in nature, and that damage was estimated at $100,000.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to a vehicle accident in the area of South Third and East Walnut streets. Upon arrival police found that a vehicle had struck an individual who was in a motorized wheelchair; the victim sustained a broken leg and was flown for medical treatment. Charges have been filed on the driver, police said.
- Police responded to SW Fourth Street for a report about children who were allegedly playing on the roadway. However, the children were gone upon police arrival.
- Police responded to Bigler Avenue for a report about a cat struck by a car. The cat was taken by police to a local vet for treatment. Anyone with information on the ownership of the cat or who would like to adopt the cat is asked to contact the Clearfield Borough police.
- Police received a complaint about an alleged incident of identity theft. The victim just wanted the incident documented at the time, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged sexual assault on children. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about a custody matter in which there wasn’t an agreement in place. The complainant was advised to seek legal counsel, as the incident was civil in nature, police said.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with a four-person altercation in progress. Officers responded and assisted as needed, police said.
- Police received a complaint over the custody of a child. Upon speaking with the complainant over the phone, police learned that the incident was solved without incident.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about multiple code violations in the area of Mount Joy Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred on Williams Street. During the incident, someone allegedly caused damage to the victim’s yard.
- Police were requested to conduct a welfare check on River Road.
- Police responded to an accident involving three vehicles and a boat on Washington Avenue. One person was transported for medical treatment; one vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident that allegedly occurred near Dairy Queen and Kwik Fill.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident that allegedly occurred in the Wal-Mart parking lot. The accident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about a dog that was allegedly left unattended in a vehicle on Plaza Drive.
- Police received a report about an alleged physical domestic dispute on Washington Avenue.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a noise complaint that occurred Friday at the Curwensville Commons. It was handled by officers at the scene.
- Police received a report about a female who was allegedly being stalked by a medium- to large-sized, brown dog on Friday. She allegedly attempted to command for it to leave several times; however, it attacked her and she needed treatment for her injuries. Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the dog.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic incident that occurred Saturday at a Thompson Street residence. Upon arrival police found it was a verbal argument.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct/loitering and prowling at night in the area of Schofield Street on Sunday. Police apprehended two juveniles as a result of the incident.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred to a vehicle on Ridge Avenue.
- Police allegedly located drug paraphernalia Saturday and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
DuBois City
- Police were dispatched to an alleged theft Monday in the 100 block of East Park Avenue. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
