Adviser: Donald Trump is not a jury skipper

Donald Trump’s Special Counsel Michael Cohen told CNN’s “New Day” on Monday that Trump missed five jury summons, but that it was because the mail was being sent to an address where the real estate mogul didn’t live.

Trump, who was facing a $250 fine, will not have to pay for skipping jury duty once he completed his jury duty that he was summoned to Monday, Cohen said. Trump reported to the courthouse in New York on Monday, greeted by a large pack of reporters on his way in.

When host Chris Cuomo asked “How powerful is Trump if he can’t get out of jury duty?”

Cohen said that “it’s unfortunate,” calling it a “wacky” scenario.

“He’s a jury skipper,” Cuomo responded.

“Not true,” he said. “You gotta serve it to the right property … I believe he owns the building but he doesn’t reside there,” Cohen said. “Nobody knows what happened to the document.”
